Education & Court Admission
Johnny earned his bachelor’s degree with honors from Hillsdale College in 2006. While at Hillsdale, he was a four-year scholarship basketball player, playing as a starting point guard and serving as the team captain for two years. Johnny’s time on the court instilled the discipline, sacrifice, determination and teamwork that he still uses in his career each day.
In 2010, Johnny earned his juris doctorate degree from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan. He was a Dean’s Scholar and served as the president of the Middle Eastern Law Student Association. Johnny gained great experience during school while working for the City of Dearborn Legal Department as a part-time law clerk.
Leadership, Community & Career
Johnny began his professional legal career working as an associate attorney at small civil litigation firm, and also spent time working as a personal injury litigator at two prominent Michigan law firms.
Community involvement is also very important, as Johnny is currently an active member of the Arab American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. Johnny serves as a Board Member for the HYPE Athletics Community, which is deep-rooted, non-profit community based organization that partners with federal, state, and local agencies, corporations and foundations to create and strengthen infrastructures that support the positive development of Wayne County youth through athletic participation and competition, education tutoring and literacy development, and social awareness. Johnny has also been recently appointed to the City of Dearborn Civil Service Commission.
